I got a call from the creative, who briefly over the phone explained to me about this job, this idea of a script, this ambition of a wing-it situation. We hung up and I was sold.
I thought to myself, this script is me! It embodies me.
I got excited about it and told my other half, my first prospect of a proper travel shoot FOR a travel product. And that was when I realized that it was because I put it out there (the internet) my love and passion for travel and the experiences I've had, the job was mine. It was as though my posts here was all the field work I've had already done. It was as though all my posts here were all the pages for the director's treatment that had already been written.
Now, I know how it all sounds. I'm not getting dramatic. It just really was exactly how I felt because even though travel is one of my biggest passion, being able to curate the way we were to shoot it was the biggest kick for me.
The reasons why the creative called me was because of my posts and sharing of my travel trips from before and he remembered it. I guess I like the fact that some people do think of me when they get a travel related script. So, yes to putting it out there and then getting it in!
